Conclusion
18th amendment was first passed in 1920 stating that all alcohol was illegal to produce, transport, and to sell. This amendment would be in law for the next thirteen years in America. In those years, it caused an increase in crime and the push to produce mass quantity of illegal alcohol, but with this it came with serious crime and problems. It doesn't mater in America or anywhere to make something illegal, people will always have a way around it and don't care if they're breaking the law. If there's money to be made the people will do it. The crime rate increased drastically from petty theft to homicide especially with the "Mob" in play. When the 21st amendment was finally in affect it repealed the 18th and making alcohol legal in the United States, from this we saw a decrease in consumption of alcohol and the age was made to anyone living in the U.S. 21 to consume alcoholic drinks. Most of the states knew that the prohibition on alcohol was a mistake and they learned many things from it.
